I just had a one on one meeting with the boss; apparently I’m at 2.5 strikes already. After hearing that, I smiled and said to my boss “Oh, that is so great! Super! I’m very happy to hear that.” My boss then looks at my with a confused look — that’s when I realized that I was not the pitcher in this metaphor. I then said “Sorry I get it, I totally understand the situation. – I thought to myslef, I’m doing just fine since there are 81 stikes in a game. Sweet!
